At the upriver end (the ‘Top’) of Reefton’s Broadway, are the combined fine art Hale and Reefton Galleries.
The Hale room of the gallery belongs to renowned artist, Alison Hale. Alison was one of the 1998 founders of the Reefton Gallery and has developed this area into her own space.
Other founding members were Di Berard and Chris Lewis.
This ‘website book’ is designed to give you, the reader, an insight into the origins of the gallery, the artists presently exhibiting and a summation of artists who have participated along the nearly thirty years that the gallery has been open.
As well as paintings, the gallery is also home to jewellers and potters.
All of the artists come from or reside in the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand, with the exception of Colin Wynn, who did live and exhibit here and still has work with us.
